Boy Jammies...

I love men's pajamas (they are so comfortable), and when I came across this early-1940s Hollywood pattern, I snatched it up (for a cool $4)! Indeed, my grandpa had jammies just like these, complete with a robe and slippers (I think I need those, too!).

Cigarette with your morning milk?

I constructed the pajamas from a fine shirting cotton (I bought in 1998!); shirt closes in front with five buttons and on the pant fly with four...

These are my new favorite garments - Teddy approved! Blessings and happy sewing!

Spring Stuff...

Little by little and day by day, it is warming up! Time for me to crawl from my winter hovel and meet the sunshine. I'm very excited this year; as you know, last year I allowed my veggie gardens to lay fallow - they need a good recuperative sleep now and again - and honestly, I felt restless and lost not tending to anything. Ahhh, a new season means new life - my garden lives again!

Meet Black Cat, feral feline Queen of my back yard, Protectress of my garden from lesser creatures than she, particularly the rodent variety...

I decided it was time to reorganize my seeds and give them a better sleeping and breathing place than Ziplock bags; I've been wanting to do this for a while. Don't you just love the tiny clothes pins?

Evidence of life after a long Winter's rest!

I picked up a few new vintage patterns to add to my collection. I can't wait to make that 1940s Butterick blouse!

And, a very quick, one hour project: a new Regency shift - my old one is well worn and well loved, and recently retired...

Yay, Spring has finally sprung - Mother Nature hasn't forgotten Ohio! Blessings and happy sewing!
